Trap
The Fall Trap League is in the 7th week with 44 paid up shooters. The league has enjoyed good weather through out all of the shooting days. We will finish the league on October 17th & have an AWESOME party with GREAT food & adult beverages on October 20th. All paid up shooters & one guest are eligible to attend this party. After October 20th, the BVCS Trap program will be in hiatus until the WNY Trap League visits on January 12th & 19th for 2 consecutive Sundays. All the help we can get for those 2 days will be gratefully accepted & we can only hope Old Man Winter cooperates also. As in the past if the Young Guns are willing to do kitchen duty, the Trap Committee will pay for all of the needed provisions to make it another profitable endeavor for them. After the WNY Leagues does their damage for those 2 weeks, we again continue the shooting hiatus until March 29th when the BVCS Spring League will begin.
Once again, I would like to give thanks to all the GREAT volunteer help the Trap Committee gets & to the Board for their support.
Thanks
Trap Person: Ernie

Trap
The BVCS Spring League ended on June 6th. A tremendous party was held on June 9th. Awards were given out. The Hamburg team won the top prize AGAIN. We can't argue with their success, they have many good shooters. Food was ample & drinks were self serve. A good time was had by all!
The doubles league has started. By the time you read this, we will be into the 4th week of 6 week. To date, there are more doubles shooters signed up than we have ever had (about 20 so far) & they shoot a lot. This number will cover party expenses for pizza & wings on July quite readily.
After a 2 week lull in action - practice shooting only on Thursdays; August 1st & 8th, we begin - are you ready for this - The FALL League. This will start on August 11th & run for the normal 10 weeks shooting on Sundays; 9 am - 12 noon & Thursdays; 6pm - 8 pm with another great trap party with good food & drink on Sunday October 20th. Hope to see many more come out to enjoy our sport. New & experienced alike are welcome.
I would like to thank all of those that came out to provide the help unloading components & targets on May 29th. I do believe that was the fastest unload we ever had. Pizza & wings were provided by the trap committee, along with adult beverages for those that cared to partake.
Thanks

Trap
The BVCS Spring Trap League started in late March. Instead of Spring League, this league could be called the Bad Weather League. Three weeks into our league, we have experienced snow (a Sunday where nobody except our faithful volunteers came to shoot), windy conditions & of course rain & cold. We give the shooters a time period of 5 weeks to catch up on scores & league payments. This inhibits me from giving an accurate count on numbers of shooters. But, as of now, I do believe the turnout to be a few more shooters than we have had in the last few leagues. Still time for anyone to come out & participate in the trap shooting sport.
This year targets have been ordered & will be delivered on May 29th at approximately 5:30 pm. Any & ALL help would be greatly appreciated during unloading of 756 cases of targets & components. Along with targets , reloading components will be ordered & delivered at the same time. The Trap Committee may be influenced to buying pizza & wings for those willing to lend a hand. Any one wishing to order components may see us during trap sign up times: Sundays, AM & Thursdays, PM.
As I normally do, thank you to the volunteers that make our leagues run like a well oiled machine, the shooters & the Board that support our endeavors.
Thanks

Trap
The winter season is well upon us. It is hoped every member had a great Christmas & a safe New Year.
The trap program returns this January; Sunday the 27th & Sunday, February 3rd. These are the dates for the WNY Winter League that brings a great number of shooters to our facilities. The Young Guns, once again will dazzle the shooters with epicurean delights from our kitchen. The cost of material will be covered by the Trap Committee once again. Trap help will come from our shooters, bar help will be needed. If any amounts of snow occurs, any and ALL help will be needed the Saturdays before the shoots to insure the ability to gain access to the trap fields. These dates are literally a crap shoot weather wise. NO ACCESS - NO SHOOT!
After a short period of shut down, the regular shooting season will commence on Sunday, March 24th. Shooting sign up times remain the same. Sunday; 9:00am - 12:00 noon & Thursday; 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Teams, individual, new, old & practice shooters are all welcome. As of now, prices will still be $4.00 per round with a member having the ability to purchase a shooting card covering 10 rounds for $35.00. Such a DEAL!!! Targets will be ordered late spring or early summer. Depending on price of targets, it may be necessary to change the cost of shooting.
Questions, remarks (smart or otherwise), volunteers -649-4651.
Thank You! Trap Person: Ernie
