Cancellations and Postponements
March 13th, 2020
From Your President: We have all seen what’s been going on with the cautions being taken place with the Coronavirus throughout Our Country. With that in mind I’ve discussed with the executive Board and we are all in agreement that it would be in the best Interest of Our Membership to not only cancel Our Next Meeting (Monday, March 16th 2020) but also POSTPONE Our Installation Dinner till further notice. Thank you and Keep Safe!

2020 Winter Newsletter
January 8th, 2020
From the President
Dear Members,
This is Pancho You President. I’m hoping everyone had a Joyous and Good Christmas and a Happy New Year. First I Would like to thank all those members who have so generously provided help in maintain our club both Financially by selling tickets and also by helping to clean and making sure our building is in the best for ourselves and for those that visit. We still have much to do and I look forward to working with those who volunteer their time. I would also like to remind all members that it is Our responsibility to continue to sell both raffle and calendar tickets and also to promote all of our activities that bring in revenue to maintaining our Club, Trap, Pistol shoots,(Centerfire, rimfire and Air), Indoor rifle leagues(air and 22).
We still have work to do on our Outdoor Rifle range, however it is open ( although a little soggy). Our next big project is the replacing of a couple of doors, which have already been purchased. Times and dates have to set to paint before installation is done. Our shed is in dyer need of repair. These are just a few that come to mind.
Once again I would like to thank all of you again for all your Help. I’ll refrain from naming those who volunteered for fear of accidentally leaving someone out which I’ve done before. Looking Forward to a Great Year at Our Club in 2020. See you all at the next meeting.

Trap
For the past trap season, the committee has run 2 weeks of the WNY trap league in some inclement weather last winter, and 3 successful in-house trap leagues. Also, a supply of trap targets & reloading components was ordered & received. Thank you to all that participated & the volunteers that did the great job of taking care of those that came to or Club.
January 12th & 19th, both Sundays, starts the year with the WNY Trap League once again. The committee would appreciate any & all help for these 2 days. Bar help will be needed. Trap volunteers will be here to run & score squads. The kitchen once again will be run by the Young Guns who have always done a great job. The trap committee will again pay the kitchen expenses for the Young Guns so they will be profitable. Thank you to the Hoelshers for the supervision & support. If the weather cooperates, no problem, if there is any amount of snow, snow removal will be a priority. Otherwise if the parking lot & trap fields are not cleared, no point in us being here those 2 days. The 2 Saturdays prior to the events will be the days to remove the snow. 10 am both days if needed.
After the WNY League finishes their 2 weeks we close again until March 29th when we begin the 10-week BVCS Spring League. July 2ndstarts the 6-week doubles league & to finish the trap season our Fall League will start on August 16th. I do believe that would seem to be ENOUGH for 2020!
Thank you to the hardy volunteers that keep our well-oiled machine running smoothly & to the board for their continued support.

Trap
The Fall Trap League is in the 7th week with 44 paid up shooters. The league has enjoyed good weather through out all of the shooting days. We will finish the league on October 17th & have an AWESOME party with GREAT food & adult beverages on October 20th. All paid up shooters & one guest are eligible to attend this party. After October 20th, the BVCS Trap program will be in hiatus until the WNY Trap League visits on January 12th & 19th for 2 consecutive Sundays. All the help we can get for those 2 days will be gratefully accepted & we can only hope Old Man Winter cooperates also. As in the past if the Young Guns are willing to do kitchen duty, the Trap Committee will pay for all of the needed provisions to make it another profitable endeavor for them. After the WNY Leagues does their damage for those 2 weeks, we again continue the shooting hiatus until March 29th when the BVCS Spring League will begin.
Once again, I would like to give thanks to all the GREAT volunteer help the Trap Committee gets & to the Board for their support.
Thanks

Trap
The BVCS Spring League ended on June 6th. A tremendous party was held on June 9th. Awards were given out. The Hamburg team won the top prize AGAIN. We can't argue with their success, they have many good shooters. Food was ample & drinks were self serve. A good time was had by all!
The doubles league has started. By the time you read this, we will be into the 4th week of 6 week. To date, there are more doubles shooters signed up than we have ever had (about 20 so far) & they shoot a lot. This number will cover party expenses for pizza & wings on July quite readily.
After a 2 week lull in action - practice shooting only on Thursdays; August 1st & 8th, we begin - are you ready for this - The FALL League. This will start on August 11th & run for the normal 10 weeks shooting on Sundays; 9 am - 12 noon & Thursdays; 6pm - 8 pm with another great trap party with good food & drink on Sunday October 20th. Hope to see many more come out to enjoy our sport. New & experienced alike are welcome.
I would like to thank all of those that came out to provide the help unloading components & targets on May 29th. I do believe that was the fastest unload we ever had. Pizza & wings were provided by the trap committee, along with adult beverages for those that cared to partake.
Thanks
