Programs

Facilities and Programs

The club provides a full complement of shooting range venues: trap fields, rifle ranges to 150 yards and an indoor pistol range. The clubhouse features a 14-station indoor range with air filtration system, meeting area, snack bar set-up and rest rooms.

Only current members and their guests are permitted to use the property and its facilities. Members must accompany their guests at all times and are responsible for their guests' actions.

Trap

Boston Valley Conservation Society has two trap fields. Leagues and open shooting generally start the 3rd week in the month of March each year. The year starts with a Spring League that runs for 10 weeks with shooting times of Sundays 9 am-12 noon & Thursdays 6 pm-8 pm, closing with an awards party. The next league is a Doubles League, starting in late June and running for 6 weeks with shooting on Thursdays only, 6 pm-8 pm, also winding up with awards and food. A Fall league, our last league of the season, starts in mid-August and, again, follows the Spring format.

All of our shooting times are open to teams, individuals and practice shooters.

Indoor Pistol Range

Our indoor pistol range offers 14 stations at a distance of 50 feet and 10 stations at 75 feet.

To shoot at our pistol range, one must be a member or have a member present. The Member range fee is $5 and the nonmember fee is $10 per night. All are welcome, but we encourage frequent non-members to become members and support the club. Please be aware that non-members must fill out a one-time waiver. Forms are available at the range.

Tuesday nights; doors open @ 7 pm.

Pistol Leagues

Boston Valley Conservation Society offers two ten-week pistol leagues, which are held on Thursday evenings in the Spring and Fall. League play consists of two National Match Courses (30 round each) at 25 yards using slow, timed and rapid-fire target shooting and scored using an actual and handicap drop point system. Matches start at 6:00 pm sharp, with additional shooting slots at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Young Guns

Boston Valley Young Guns is a youth shooting club for youth ages 12-18; members are considered junior members of the Conservation Society. Meeting the 1st Monday of every month from Sept to June, members have the opportunity to shoot trap and .22 at every meet. The #1 priority is always safety, followed by sportsmanship. Members are encouraged with sponsorship to participate in related events in the area, such as Jake's Day, NRA Days and the Mike Waring Memorial Shoot. Community Service opportunities are also offered and encouraged.
