2026 Spring Newsletter

Membership Meetings

Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of the month. Please try to attend & offer your voice & ideas. This is your club! Meet your fellow enthusiasts.

Next meetings: 4/20, 5/18, 6/15, 7/20 @ 7:30pm

Membership

In order to maintain our current level of lavish lifestyle at the club, we will need to increase our dues by $5.00 every other year over the next 10 years until we have increased the current membership by $25.00 to $100.00 per year.

This is because of a myriad of reasons and, as staunch Conservatives, we blame these increases solely at the feet of Kathy Hochul; however, to our Liberal members, we acquiesce that Donald Trump may share possible blame for some of this. Our diminishing membership role is not helping either.

Regardless, I recall the words of a wise contractor when I told him the price of roofing was going up.  “They only go one way!”  That was true 40 years ago and still holds true today.

One thing you can know about your membership dues. We are doing our best to keep our costs down.  Fixing the heating duct up in the attic, changing out the lights with more efficient LED lighting, and Isabelle negotiating down our electric bill have also saved costs.  The calendar and raffle tickets are important to help cover our expenses, so sell those tickets please.

How to Earn Credits Towards Your Membership Dues (max. 25 points):

  • Meeting Attendance – 1 point for each meeting attended
  • Work Details – 1 point for each hour of work
  • Equipment (brought to work detail) – 1 point for each hour used
  • Elected Officer – 5 points
  • Committee Chairman – 5 points
  • Monthly Chairman (work detail, meeting dinner) – 3 points + work
  • Delegates (Federation, 1791) – 2 points + 1 point for each meeting attended
  • Tickets – 1 point for every 10 Gun Raffle Tickets sold / 1 point for every 3 Lottery Calendars sold

Each point is $1 off your next year’s membership dues!
