What's Happening @ Your Club?

2019 BVCS Dinner

The club voted to have our annual Dinner & Chinese Auction in the future moved to the 1st Saturday in April (unless a future Easter conflict). The weather has been an issue for cleaning one night & committing to a caterer etc.

The plan for 2019 is: Swearing in of officers will be at the January 2019 meeting and our club Dinner & Chinese Auction will be April 6, 2019.

Open Pistol Shooting

Tuesday nights; doors open @ 7pm. Members’ range fee is $4 and nonmembers’ fee is $8 per night. All are welcome but we encourage frequent non-members to become members and support the club. Please be aware that non-members must fill out a one-time waiver. Forms are on hand at the range.

Trap

As this is written, the Spring League is in the middle of the 5th week. Mother Nature has NOT been very kind to us for the early parts of our league. We've had days with no shooters & days with 3 or 4 brave souls coming out to brave the cold, snow & rains. Sunday, April 23rd was our 1st banner day, not only with shooters, but with bright blue skies & little wind. A great relief! Many came out for the 1st time this season to enter & participate in our league, along with more of the faithful shooters. As of now there are 34 paid up contestants, & with better weather ahead hopefully more to come. The trap committee is giving dispensation to those not having shot the required number of scores due to the inclement weather. So, with 5 weeks remaining, come on out & get your guns dusted off & have yourself some fun.

Shooting hours remain: Sunday; 9:00 am - 12:00 noon & Thur.; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thanks; Trap Person; Ernie
